Although I like computer games, there is a good reason why I don’t want to try new games. The reason is that I like sports so much that once I start playing, it’s hard for me to stop. That is why I try my best to face every temptation that comes my way. But if there is one game that can tempt me to start a game, it would be Angry Birds.
Starting as an iPhone game, it has now taken the world by storm with PC [removing broken URLs], Chrome browser and three versions of Android. I was helplessly tempted because I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. Big mistake!
Stop The Frustration
Look and see, I have finished all the worlds available at the moment and collected all 26 golden eggs. But I also lost a good night’s sleep and was tempted to break things along the way. Believe me, sometimes the game can be very frustrating!
I’m not an expert on Angry Birds, but I’ve spent a lot of time playing games. So, here are some common tips and hints that can help you avoid the world of angry birds.
1. Spare The Time
That’s one thing I know for sure – you need a lot of time to play. I know people who needed dozens of attempts to get through a difficult level. I also know that there are people who claim to have repeated it hundreds of times to get just three stars and possibly the highest score.
So make sure you have time to spare before the game, or don’t start playing at all. Stopping before you finish a level will only make you more frustrated.
2. Know Your Birds Well
We all know that each character in the game is unique, and knowing the personality of each of them will help you a lot throughout the game. And I mean not only their special tricks but also their strengths and weaknesses.
For example, we can speed up the Yellow Bird by tapping the screen while it is still in the air. We can use this ability to reach difficult and remote places. Yellow birds are also strong against wood, so use them to break wooden structures. Blackbirds are literally blowing up bombs, so use them to break up solid structures.
Another example, we know that a white bird can drop an egg bomb, and we can use it to destroy something. But have you also noticed that the White Bird will accelerate after the bomb falls? We can use this acceleration to knock another part of the pig’s structure.
3. Try Different Angles – Literally
If attempts to bring your structure down from one angle fail, try different angles. Don’t be afraid to hit the repeat button. Repeat the effort and learn from the mistakes. Don’t let mistakes get you down.
4. Observe The Environment & Take Notes
Continuing from the previous point of view, you can use the background environment to help find the perfect “action point”.
For example, note the position of your finger (or mouse pointer) when you launch a bird. If the attack is successful, remember the position and move on to the next bird. Or note the position of the bird in the air when you tap the screen to activate its particular move, so you can repeat it if necessary. This step really helps me whenever I use Boomerang Bird.
5. Think Outside The Box
I found something interesting in the game that has its creativity. You don’t always have to do everything through the book. For example, there are times when you use a white bird to hit a part of a structure without dropping a bomb. Or a situation where you have to shoot the boomerang bird backwards and curve it to hit a somewhat inaccessible targe
6. Seek & You Shall Findt.
When you get stuck, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Your friends are just a phone call away. Socializing is always a good way to take a break from endless gaming hours. The Internet is also a rich place to find discussions, tutorials, and walkthroughs to help you overcome difficult levels. A quick search will get you a lot of links to watch, but my favorite places to find Angry Birds are my review YouTube channel and Angry Bird Nest.
7. Cross Your Fingers
Angry birds have a lot to do with luck. Once in a while, you will make irreparable lucky shots and be able to complete the level with flying colors.
I know. It’s weird to have “luck” as a way to reduce the level of frustration in the game. But sometimes, fortunately, it takes a lot to put a smile back on your face of stress and frustration. So, always keep your finger crossed throughout the game.
Don’t Get Angry, Have Fun
After all, the one thing you need to remember is that this is just a game. It’s silly to work on a game so have fun. If fun gets away from the game, then there is no point in playing it.
